Seller Registration Policy

This Seller Registration Policy outlines the process, eligibility, and requirements for individuals and businesses seeking to register as sellers on SHOPOM.IN. It ensures only qualified and compliant sellers are allowed to list and sell fashion products through our platform.

1. Eligibility Criteria

To register as a seller on SHOPOM.IN, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts.
  • Own a legally registered business or operate as a sole proprietor.
  • Have a valid GSTIN, PAN card, and active bank account.
  • Agree to and comply with the Seller Terms and Conditions, Payment Policy, and all platform policies.

2. Registration Process

  1. Online Application
    Visit SHOPOM.IN and navigate to the Seller Registration section.
  2. Document Upload
    Upload the required documents as per the Seller Documentation Policy.
  3. Verification
    Your application and documents will be verified by our onboarding team, including potential KYC checks.
  4. Approval & Onboarding
    Upon approval, you will receive a confirmation email and access to the Seller Dashboard.
  5. Training & Compliance
    You may be required to complete a short training or onboarding session covering order processing, return handling, and platform policies.

3. Types of Sellers Allowed

  • Individual Sellers
  • Proprietorship Firms
  • Partnership Firms
  • Private Limited / LLP Companies
  • MSME-registered Businesses

4. Rejection of Applications

Your seller registration may be rejected or delayed for the following reasons:

  • Incomplete or invalid documents
  • Non-compliance with tax or legal requirements
  • Previous history of fraudulent behavior or policy violations on other marketplaces
  • Mismatch between personal and business details

Rejected applicants may reapply after correcting the issues or submitting required clarifications.

5. Seller Account Termination

Seller accounts may be suspended or terminated if:

  • Fraudulent or counterfeit goods are listed
  • Repeated order cancellations or poor performance is recorded
  • Seller fails to maintain up-to-date documentation
  • Platform policies are violated

6. Amendments

SHOPOM reserves the right to update or amend this Seller Registration Policy at any time. Sellers will be notified of significant changes via email or dashboard notifications.
